Les secours mobilisés ce mercredi peu avant 22h au bout de la digue Carnot au Portel.
Un pêcheur a fait une chute de 4 à 5 mètres dans un blockhaus.
Une quinzaine de pompiers des casernes de Boulogne, Etaples et Marquise sont intervenus pour une reconnaissance à pied sur la digue, accompagnés par une équipe du SMUR.
Le contact a été établi avec la victime, qui a été médicalisée et installée sur un matelas à dépression.
Le pêcheur a ensuite été hélitreuillé par l'hélicoptère de la Marine Guépard-Whisky, dépêché par le CROSS.
L'homme âgé de 54 ans a été transporté au centre hospitalier de Boulogne, gravement blessé.
Les forces de l'ordre étaient également sur place.
