La future salle de spectacles et de sport de l’agglomération dunkerquoise s’appellera « Le Boréal ». Décision prise alors que l’équipement doit sortir de terre d’ici 2028. Les travaux doivent débuter l’an prochain face au Pôle Marine. Le nom fait référence à la volonté des élus de faire de cette salle « la plus septentrionale » de France. Les candidats à la conception de la structure auront aussi pour mission de mettre la lumière au cœur du projet.
